Next I have
Me, Myself and I
This represents me and more than likely most of us
It's about how busy our minds are when we are meant to be sleeping
but just have far too many ideas running through our heads!

I found this pottery bust with wings at a craft market!
it is meant for a pot plant,
but clearly that is not what my mind was telling me!!!

I painted, added lace gold foiled on top and bronze foiled the bust!

I painted the face by mixing up brushed bronze and mother of pearl.

Using oasis in the head, I was able to add flowers, words, feathers, light bulbs, clock and butterflies!

Using hot glue I attached all other Prime flowers!

I loved every minute of this off the page project!

Precious - Kavitha

Hello,
Dusty attic fans
Kavitha here today with my first post.
I am super excited to be a part of this amazing team.
I made a grungy mixed media layout with lots of layers and colors.
For my chipboard pieces i have used corner swirls #1 and
iron garnish #3
I used Maja designs paper "Denim and friends" for my

layout,created the

background with white gesso,Lattice stencils ,modelling paste and

color bloom sprays and stamping.
I heat embossed the corner swirls with black embossing
powder and then rubbed
some turquoise satin wax over it.
Iron garnish #3 is heat embossed with white
embossing powder.

Just Me - Nicole Doiron - Challenge Inspiration

Hello! It's Nicole!

I am sure that you have all seen the gorgeous January mood board already
and have already created your project inspired by it.
How could you resist some stunning inspiration?!

Well, I'm here to share with you my take!

As you can see, I followed the same colour palette, using lots of gold on my page mixed with some touch of brown and wine red.
I also was inspired by the celebratory feel of the board images!

With the start of a new year, I wanted to go back to the basics, meaning, me... Just Me (as the title I chose indicates).
I'm hoping that this year I will be able to celebrate myself and cherish the special person that I am, inside and out.

To frame one side of  my photo, I used one piece of the Vintage Frame #2
and I added the other piece on the right margin of my layout.
I painted this piece with metallic gold paint and dabbed on some
Gingernut Dusty in Colour and a bit of deep brown along the center.

I picked a few pieces from the Mini Words #2 and #3 that represented me the most.

I colored brown with touches of Gingernut and gold all these chippies
including the Monarch Butterflies and a Name Plate #5
that I cut in two and slipped on top and below my photo.

Dusty Attic not only has beautiful chipboard to offer,
but also has produced very pretty flowers.
Below you can see the Bridal Veil set.

I hope you've been able to get inspired by my page
and will play along with our Mood Board Challenge!

Some Kind of Wonderful - Mary Catt - January Inspiration

Hello dear friends!

It’s Mary here with you today and I have a new layout to share.

My page was inspired by the January's Moodboard which is so stunning!

And here is my take on...

I created texture on my background by applying modeling paste through the Chicken Wire stencil. Then, I added colour with the Grab a Guy Gold
Lindy's Gang spray.

I
painted all the chipboards with the Finnabair sparks Dragon's Eye acrylic paint. Only the two pieces from the Lattice small panel were stamped with the Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I embellished my cluster with Dusty In Bloom Cornsilk flowers and some Prima Marketing along with laces and some Dusty Attic pearls.

As a final touch I added some Copper micro beads with gel medium.
